چکیده [English]

Today, medicinal plants have attracted the attention of many individuals because of their secondary metabolites in the treatment of many diseases. One of these plants is called thyme, which contains a wide range of secondary metabolites. These include terpenes, flavonoids and antioxidants. Various techniques and methods have been developed to increase and produce these materials. In classical methods, environmental factors are changed to produce the most effective substance in medicinal plants, but in newer approaches that are based on plant genetics, higher yields are observed. One of these approaches is the use of miRNAs. miRNAs are a class of small RNAs that encode and encode non-coding proteins consisting of about 17-24 nucleotides. miRNAs. They control gene expression after transcription by mRNA analysis or inhibition of their translation, and play a variety of roles in biological and metabolic processes in plants and animals. There are several methods for identifying miRNAs, one of the simplest and least expensive of which is the bioinformatics detection method. In this study, in order to identify distinct miRNA in thyme, a study based on homology search between transcript information of thyme and miRNA was performed. First, transcriptomic information of thyme was refined and then blast was performed against all known miRNAs in the miRBase database, and finally 64 distinct candidate miRNAs were identified in different species of thyme. The identified target genes were analyzed using different software. In conclusion 14 miRNAs were observed in the synthetic pathways of terpenes.
